Gabriela Koumantakis.

Gabriela has danced since the age of four attending Langshaws and The Newtown School of Performing Arts. After graduating from Newtown Gabriela went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) at the University of Western Sydney.

Gabriela began teaching in 1995 (both Ballet & Jazz) and is trained and fully qualified with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) which is the only internationally accredited Ballet syllabus. Having danced overseas in France and England, and performing at the Sydney Opera House on many occasions with the Sydney Opera and Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Gabriela put her performance shoes aside to teach. After freelance teaching for many schools in and around Sydney, in 2004 she established The Hills Dance Factory in Castle Hill, and is now fulfilling her dream of teaching dance to children of all ages and hopefully having a positive effect on their lives.

Gabriela is very proud about the fact that The Hills Dance Factory has quickly established itself as one of the premier schools in the Hills District. 2016 was a big year for both Gabriela and The Hills Dance Factory as we had our first USA tour, giving students the opportunity to dance at Disneyland, Universal Studios and on Hollywood Boulevard as well as having the awesome chance to complete workshops at some of the leading dance studios worldwide. Gabriela also travelled to China as she was asked to teach at a Ballet workshop. This was a great opportunity and one that may lead to some exciting things to come in the future.
