RAD Ballet at The Hills Dance Factory.

At The Hills Dance Factory, we're proud to offer ballet classes in the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet syllabus. The RAD syllabus is internationally recognized and is one of the largest and most respected dance organizations worldwide. Created to ensure a high standard of ballet instruction, it's a wonderful foundation for any young dancer.

Exam Opportunities

While taking RAD Ballet Exams is optional, children interested in these exams will need to attend a minimum of two ballet classes per week and must be at least five years old. RAD exams give students a goal to work toward and are recognized around the world.

To help students prepare for these exams, we offer specialized RAD seminars each Easter holiday, led by experienced examiners from the RAD.

Advancing to Pointe Work

For students in Intermediate Foundation and above pointe work is part of each class. Pointe work requires strength and readiness, so our teachers will assess each child's suitability. Those not ready or interested in Pointe can still progress through the upper grades (Grades 6, 7 & 8) and have the option to participate in exams if they choose.
